MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

SPECIFICATIONS

 

Prior to starting your motorcycle, perform a general inspection as a matter of habit to make sure that the motorcycle is in good, safe riding condition.

Check the following items and if adjustment or servicing is necessary, refer to the appropriate section of the manual.

Engine oil level - Check the level and add as necessary. (See ENGINE OIL)

Fuel level - fill the fuel tank when necessary. (See FUEL FILLER CAP.)

Brakes - Check the brake lines for leaks and fluid level. Inspect the operation of the front and rear brakes. (SeeFRONT BRAKE, REAR BRAKE)

Tires - Check the air pressure and tyres for wear or damage. (See TYRE SERVICING )

Battery electrolyte - Check the level and add if necessary. (See BATTERY CARE)

Throttle operation - Check the throttle operation, cable routing and free play. Correct or replace if necessary. (See THROTTLE OPERATION)

Lighting - See that all lights operate properly.

Drive Chain - Check condition of drive chain and measure the chain tension. Adjust if the chain tension is incorrect. Lubricate if it appears dry. Replace if it is badly worn or damaged. (See DRIVE CHAIN)
