1. Place the motorcycle on its centre stand.

2. Remove the rear brake adjusting nut (1) and brake rod (2) from the brake arm (3).

3. Remove the brake plate torque arm (4) from the brake plate by removing the lock pin, nut, washer and bolt.

4. Remove the cotter pin (5) from the right side of the rear axle and loosen the rear axle nut (6).

5. Loosen the lock nuts (7) and chain adjusting bolts (8) and turn the chain adjusters (9) downward.

6. Lift the chain off the sprocket, then pull the wheel rearward, clear off the fork.

7. to install, reverse the removal procedures. Adjust the drive chain and rear brake.

CAUTION: Always replace the used cotter pin with a new one. Torque for the axle nut: 8.0 - 10 kg-m (58 - 72 lbs-ft)
