FRONT WHEEL REMOVAL

1. Raise the front wheel off the ground by placing a support block under the engine.

2. Disconnect the speedometer cable (2) by removing the screw (1).

3. Remove the nuts (3) and axle holders (4). Remove the front wheel.

NOTE: Do not depress the brake lever when the wheel is removed as this causes the caliper piston to come out, spilling brake fluid. This calls for servicing the brake system.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedures.

WARNING: Install the axle holders (4) with the "F" arrow (5) forward and finger tighten the nuts (3). Tighten the forward holder nuts (3) first to the specified torque, then tighten the rear nuts to the same torque.

Specified torque: 1.8 - 2.5 kg/m (13 - 18 lbs/ft).
